The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four has completed a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for improvements to Port St. Lucie Boulevard from Becker Road (MP 0.238) to Darwin Boulevard (MP 3.104) in St. Lucie County.

This PD&E Study evaluated many alternatives, including roadway capacity improvements, bicycle and pedestrian accommodations, and transit needs.

The study received approval from the Federal Highway Administration on November 25, 2014. This now qualifies the project for federal funding. The design phase is now underway.
